ENIGMATIC DON JAZZY BEAT

THE ENIGMA

The word ENIGMA: the unconcieveable, the unthinkable, the unimaginable. That simply put describes one of the highest trending topics on twitter when C.E.O of MoHits Records and Ace Music Producer, the Magical Don Jazzy via one of Nigerian owned social media portals www.notjustok.com announced one out of his numerous mega-projects: "DON JAZZY BEAT COMPETITION".

It was early one Saturday morning in his New York lair when the charismatic multiple-awards winning producer with the midas touch, from his kitty produced a master-piece mixtape beat (eventhough it was hurriedly done) and decided to dare up and coming rapheads on the continent of Africa to download and drop their lyrical tantrums on the beat which he ironically calls "ENIGMA".

And true to nature, the beat has caused a feverish trend ever since with up and coming talents on the continent showcasing their lyrical ware. Social network "twitter" is buzzing with excitement as the young talents are even daring themselves in a lyrical battle on "ENIGMA".

Entries which were sent to donjazzy@notjustok.com (closed today 31 July 2011) are laden with so much talent that one begins to ponder,.....Don Jazzy certainly had the right choice of name for the beat.
In addition, DON JAZZY says: “If your version is too badt, who knows? I can put it on D’Banj’s album....."IDJA“.

With a futuristic ideology like this, The Don of Beats "DON JAZZY" has not only proven himself as the "Undisputed Beat Master on the Continent" but has reiterated his notions as a veritable mentor of talents by not giving them fish as it were but challenging them to catch fish by themselves.

It has been really wit-cracking for the young budding talents but by the time Don Jazzy and the able crew of notjustok screens and picks five entries for open poll vote on www.notjustok.com , it sure would be a thrilling and ENIGMAtic experience.
The winner of the competition gets $2,000 (TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS) CASH from DON JAZZY while 2nd & 3rd place winners gets $1,000 & $500 cash respectively......and did I get the whiff he might up the prizes? Shhhhh....I don't know but stay tuned for more details.

DON JAZZY BEAT COMPETITION........I.D.J.A!!!

Not many know him as Michael Enebeli but surely the enigmatic name Don Jazzy sure sets the alarm off in some veins....lol.
The meek as a lamb Co-founder/C.E.O of Africa's number one record label Mo'Hits Records, Don Jazzy a.k.a I.D.J.A surely is the happiest business/music mogul on the continent.

Reasons?
  1. His record label "Mo'Hits Records" is enviably the most successful indigenous record label out of the continent
  2. His artiste's (9ja's number one, UN Peace Ambassador and BET Award 2011 Winner Mr Endowed Koko Master himself D'Banj, the golden-voiced Black Diamond Wande Coal, soft-spoken lyrical-doctor Dr. SID, the Sexy Jonzin World crooner D'Prince, highly talented yet witty Kay Switch) are arguably the best the continent has to offer with the stretchy success tale behind each and everyone of their musical works which he produced
  3. The array of international and local accolades and awards both him as a producer and his artistes have in their kitty
  4. His musical productions having the midas/golden touch finesse evident in the works of his label Mo'Hits Records and such other productions like: Weird MC (Ijoya); Queen (Jebele); Ikechukwu (Critical) to mention but a few
  5. The successful record deal alongside D'Banj with giant rap maestros Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music brand
  6. The recognition of his magical production skills at the international scene with the inclusion of his midas touch to the soon to be released joint album of Rap Legends Jay-Z and Kanye West titled "WATCH THE THRONE" which is dropping August 2nd and had other notable icons as Beyonce featuring on the particular track titled "Lift Off" (http://www.killerhiphop.com/jay-z-kanye-west-watch-the-throne-production-credits)
DON JAZZY BEAT COMPETITION

The rather shy producer-per-excellence early Saturday at his New York base cooked-up another masterpiece musical concoction which he titled after his mammoth aura "ENIGMA".

Question is....."and so??"

Well he is now giving young budding talents a chance to ride with the musical gods by throwing out the beat for the streets (free download).

Yea....up and coming talents and fans alike have the rare and golden opportunity to flow on ENIGMA (the beat) however they wish but note...."with style and precision";  and send/email in mp3 format to donjazzy@notjustok.com.
The notjustok team and Don jazzy will screen and pick out the top five (5) entries and present them on www.notjustok.com for an open poll vote.

The winner of the competition gets $2,000 (TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS) CASH from DON JAZZY! In addition, DON JAZZY says: “If your version is too badt, who knows? I can put it on D’Banj’s album....."IDJA“.

2nd & 3rd place winners gets $1,000 & $500 cash respectively

It’s a simple hurriedly-done freestyle/mixtape beat for rapheads. We expect y’all to murk it with ease. No excuses!

Entries will be accepted till Sunday 31st of July, 2011. If you are interested in participating in this competition, please go ahead and start off NOW! in order to avoid last minute rush. Goodluck to all participants.

Facebook Offers Video Chat In Arrangement With Skype

Hoping to give its users a more intimate way to stay in touch, Facebook on Wednesday introduced video chatting inside its online social network through a deal with Skype, the Internet calling service.
The new feature allows users a way to connect with friends other than just posting messages, said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and chief executive, said at a news conference here at the company’s headquarters. “It’s so easy, so minimal to use,” he said.
Last week, Google introduced Google+, its latest and most serious challenge yet in social networking, which includes video chatting for up to 10 people in an area of the site called Hangouts. So far, Google has limited the number of people who can sign up for the networking service.
To a certain extent, Facebook is playing catch-up — an unfamiliar position for a company that has grown to 750 million users worldwide, a figure Mr. Zuckerberg disclosed at the news conference. He has spent the last few years lifting Facebook past its rivals — it had 500 million users a year ago — but now faces questions about why he is following their lead.
The new Facebook service does not allow for group video chats, for example. It is also not available on mobile phones, unlike Skype’s smartphone apps.
Danny Sullivan, editor of Search Engine Land, an industry blog, said Facebook’s new service at least lets the company counter Google’s move with its video chat. But in the end, he said, video chatting has been widely available for years in a variety of ways, like through instant messaging services, Skype and Apple’s FaceTime.
“I didn’t get the impression that people were finding it difficult to find one-to-one video chatting if they wanted to,” Mr. Sullivan said. “This potentially makes it easier for more people to get going, but I don’t see it as that hard to begin with.”
To start a video chat on Facebook, users click a button on their Facebook chat list or on a friend’s profile page. A box will then appear on the computer screen of that friend to either accept or decline the call.
Conversations take place inside a window that pops up within the browser. Downloading a plug-in is required to make and receive calls.
Video chatting will be available to all Facebook’s users in the coming weeks. For now, however, users can access it at facebook.com/videocalling.
For Skype, the partnership with Facebook provides a chance to have more visibility beyond its 170 million users. The service is free on Facebook, but Tony Bates, Skype’s chief executive, raised the possibility of eventually making paid calls available to Facebook users.
Making calls from computer to computer through Skype is free. But people who use Skype to call a landline or a mobile phone must pay. Facebook’s alliance with Skype expands an existing partnership between the two companies. Their cooperation started last year when Skype let its users connect with their Facebook friends from Skype and to get news feeds.
Last month, the Skype added a Facebook contacts tab and let Skype users send instant messages to their Facebook friends and comment on their friends’ status — all without leaving the Skype window.
But making Skype available on Facebook is risky and may, in the short term, undermine its business, said Greg Sterling, an analyst at Opus Research.
Facebook’s users will most likely flock to the new video chatting service, he said, while avoiding visiting Skype’s branded service directly.
“Obviously this is a great feature for Facebook — it’s really simple and a lot of people will use it,” Mr. Sterling said. But he added, “I think it’s going to have an adverse impact on Skype.”
Mr. Bates said: “We’ve always wanted to be as ubiquitous as possible. The long-term partnership far outweighs users moving from Skype, or visa versa.”
Microsoft is closing in on its acquisition of Skype for $8.5 billion. The purchase, announced two months ago, would give Microsoft a bigger footprint in online communications for consumers and corporate customers.
Microsoft, through its Skype acquisition, would also strengthen its ties to Facebook. Microsoft bought a small stake in Facebook in 2007, and it continues to provide search results within Facebook.
During the news conference on Wednesday, Mr. Zuckerberg signaled that the Skype integration was the first of several deals that would add services to Facebook with the help of other companies.
“Independent entrepreneurs, or entrepreneurs that focus on one thing, will always do better than a company that tries to focus on a million things,” Mr. Zuckerberg said in a comment that could be interpreted either as an acknowledgment of Facebook’s limits, or as a dig at Google for its broad ambitions.

The first Evoque - the new baby Range Rover - rolled off Land Rover's production lines at the company's Halewood factory in Merseyside yesterday (July 4) - but the first year's allocation has already been sold.
Range Rover Evoque production begins - but it's already sold out
A total of 18,000 advance orders have been placed for the trendy new SUV worldwide.
This follows £2 billion of investment by Land Rover and an extensive publicity campaign that included an initial unveiling by Victoria Beckham last July. The former Spice Girl also designed a set of bespoke interiors for the car.
The first Evoque, a white, five-door model in Dynamic trim, will be donated to the Heritage Motor Museum near Land Rover's base in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
The Evoque also represents a big boost for the economy, as 1,500 new workers have been taken on at the Halewood plant. The baby Range Rover will be built alongside Land Rover's existing Freelander.
Prices start at £27,995 for the two-wheel drive Evoque, with a diesel engine and a manual gearbox. That model promises in excess of 50mpg, too.
Order books have been open for some time and, though the Evoque is destined to appear in UK showrooms in September, you can expect a lengthy waiting list.
