CHARMEE - I WAS ONCE BOUNCED AT AN EVENT I WAS HEADLINING

Born Uzoma Victor, soft spoken talented singer popularly known as Charmee is not just your ordinary artiste.

The Amigbo, Imo State indigene who was born and raised in Lagos State is the first of three kids of Mr Silas and Mrs Grace Uzoma and a Computer Science graduate from the prestigious Les Cours Sonou University in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

He started singing at the tender age of six and was part of the children’s choir in his church. Music for him started professionally in 2008 with him being the toast of girls in high school due to his sonorous singing skills and voice.
Whilst in university he was always winning various awards at different school awards a few of which are NSD Awards, Extreme Awards, Oversight Awards.

‘Boss Shokoto’ which was one of his indie singles was so large in school that many did not place a face to the voice. He was once invited to a school show where the song was the rave of the event but was denied access by the bouncers at the entrance as they did not know he was the owner of the reigning tune. Thank God to the timely intervention of one of the organizers who came to his rescue and he was allowed into the event.

2018 saw the materialization of his dreams as he got signed to Idol Records owned by London based record label guru King Sacha and his voice became a force to reckon with the release of his debut single with Idol records titled Ogologo.
He has been tipped to be among the young talented singers to watch out for in the Nigerian music scene.
