Campus Connect: 2Face & Friends Tour 2013 Berths In Unilag

On Tuesday, May 28, the noble campus of the University of Lagos will play host to Campus Connect: 2Face & Friends.

The star-studded team including 2Face, Sasha, EFA, Capital FEMI, Dencia, Dammy Krane, Rocksteady, Harrysong, Crystals, Sheyi Shay, Vector, Sound Sultan and Solidstar have already thrilled students of the universities of Benin, Abuja, Port Harcourt and the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.

This time around, the star team is being expanded even if the organizers are keeping details under wraps for now.

An insider who spoke 2 www.2faceonline.com said: "Lagos is the heartbeat of entertainment in Nigeria and (even) Africa and logic demands that anything happening in Lagos tops whatever has happened in other places.

"We initially planned to set the tone of the tour with Unilag but since that wasn't possible, we are holding a command performance at Unilag on Tuesday to round it off!

"Keep your fingers crossed and watch out when 2Face and his friends land in Unilag on Tuesday. It will be a tale to be told for years to come!"

Unilag was initially billed to kick off the tour on May 7 but had to be rescheduled due to some unforeseen logistics challenges.

Pop superstar 2Face Idibia is set to hit the road for the eagerly anticipated Campus Connect: 2face & Friends Tour 2013 to be staged for the campus communities in 5 tertiary institutions across the country.

Announcing Nigerian’s No.1 premium non-alcoholic brand, low sugar Amstel Malta as lead sponsor, NM En.Core, the tour producers in partnership with Hypertek and Soundcity named Unilag (May 7), Uniben (May 9), Uniport (May 14), IMT Enugu (May 16) and UniAbuja (May 23).

Fresh off his honeymoon, Africa’s finest; 2face Idibia expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour. He states: “I’m looking forward to my return to the campus circuit. It’s been a long time. For mainly timing and availability issues I have been unable to play some of these venues in like 8 years or more so for me, this is big deal. It’s going to be an emotional return to these campuses. I have received and still enjoy massive support from these spots. They are my personal people.”

2baba as he is fondly called is stomping the yard with a line-up of friends that guarantees an unforgettable experience for fans. Hypertek’s hot boys Dammy Krane and Rocksteady alongside Vector, and long-time collaborator Sound Sultan are rearing to go.

Other class acts billed for the tour include Sasha P, Seyi Shey, Timi Dakolo, Phyno, Crystals, Harrisong, Capital F.E.M.I Solid Star and Jus’ Kiddin’s EFA.

 Regional cameos will include crowd pleasers like Christian, Nonny D, Fame, Errigga, Mr. 2Kay, Maxi, Sele Bobo, Tee Gee, Dil, Ameena, Shyne, MC Amanna and Ruff Coin. The gigs will be hosted by the king of kool himself, Andre Blaze
