Star Trek Owerri Storm 2011

It was on a peaceful and calm 11th June 2011 when Nigeria Breweries stormed the lovely city of Owerri in Imo State. It was yet another time for fun and Nigeria's number one brewery was on hand to deliver excitement once again.

On parade was MoHits Records Golden Voice Wande Coal, Choc-City's M.I, Oringo Master Flavour N'Abania, Ibo Rap Sensation 2Shotz, Ella Baby, Jukebox, The Beats, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st and Wonder kid DJ Tonny Blaze. Also the technical crew of GA Productions was there alongside K Square Security outfit.

As usual the host Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st started with his well executed display with of getting the crowd to be involved by calling on young men and women to dance after which they were rewarded with fantastic prizes courtesy Nigeria Breweries.
Then it was time for Wonder Kid DJ Tonny Blaze to mesmerize the crowd which he did with such proficiency that the crowd was left gasping for breath from dancing to his magical display.

Then it was time for the indigenous talents who also showed that they had something to offer as a sign of appreciation to Star Trek.

The first to grace the stage were Star Quest Winners 2011 The Beats who thrilled the crowd with their melodious tunes and well synchronized dance displays which left the crowd asking for more.

Another Star Quest Ambassadors Jukebox who are currently enjoying the dividends of hard under the tutelage of Kennis Music came on stage to startle the crowd with their club banging songs.

When she came on stage one would call to mind the legendary Brenda Fassie...low-cut Ella Baby came on with a different kind of sexuality that the Owerri crowd were hollering her name after she had left them with a niche to remember. her dance steps and stage craftsmanship were not to be forgotten quickly by her ever loyal fan base in Owerri.

Wonder kid DJ Tommy Blaze was on hand to dazzle the Owerri crowd with his professional mastery of the art of disc jockey. Song after song he kept the yelling crowd on their toes dancing and gyrating to his magical fingers on display.

The Jewel of the Niger Oringo Master Flavour N'Abania mounted the stage and pandemonium struck as the Owerri crowd struggled effortlessly with the able security personnel of K Square to get a closer feel of their Prince Charming who clad in a yellow pant, white T-shirt and black jacket delivered a stage display that left them gaping and wishing the event would never come to an end. His popular songs Adamma, Ashawo, Pant No N'Iro, Oyi Ukwu etc was coming from the crowd like there were thousands of mini-Flavour N'Abania in the audience.

Bearded Ibo rap sensation 2shotz a.k.a Will-I-Am alongside popular producer Nwa Aba did not fall behind the display of his fellow entertainers with his club banging hits featuring popular names in the Nigerian music industry like M.I, Terry G, Timaya and Y.Q. He even took the crowd back memory lane with the mammoth hit song Delicious by Ogbuefi 1 of Hip Hop Big Lo featuring him which brought the crowd to near tears recalling how he and Big Lo ruled the Nigerian Music industry and this brings to mind.....where is the Ogbuefi 1 of Hip Hop Big Lo? (A gist that holds surprises soon on this blog)

African Rapper Number 1 Mister Incredible M.I who had thrilled the crowd a night before in Coal City Enugu State with his lyrical prowess climbed on stage and all hell was let loose with the crowd clamoring to touch even his cloth to become his persona....Microphone Interpreter. Like the saying that dynamites come in small packages and yet detonate a devastating explosion, M.I Abaga a.k.a Judo took his time and lectured all present on what it takes to be Africa's Rapper Number 1. The icing in the cake was when he called on The Jewel of the Niger Flavour N'Abania on stage to render a real life experience of the greatest rap collabo of the century Number One. And in his known divine entrant e, The Oringo Master Flavour N'Abania mounted the stage and showed a real life replica of his versatility in musicology.....he played a melodious keyboard rendition of the hit song Number One and all went gaga. Their on-stage performance could only be likened to such displays as seen on Broadway.

It's Wande Coallllllllll....thats the perfect explanation to usher one of the best musical talents in the continent. The Black Gold Golden Voiced Gem of MoHits Records Wande Coal only had to breath into the microphone to set Owerri on fire. It was a perfect definition of Black is Beautiful if it is Wande Coal. His evergreen and unforgettable voice was with no match to almost all the displays of the night in Owerri Storm version of Star Trek 2011. The plump-teddybear-cuddly Gem bounced, rocked, danced, mesmerized, lectured, entertained and thrilled Owerri in Imo State to a point of no return. intermittently he echoed...'make i dey go?' but the crowd kept yelling Noooooooooooooo. Sine Shine Bobo.....STAR!!! That should have been a better explanation of the atmosphere when W-Ceeeeeeeeeeezy rocked Star Trek Owerri Storm 2011.
Thank You Nigeria Breweries for STAR TREK EXPERIENCE!!!.
