Reaction to Rumour Mongers
"It is really mischievous and wicked for somebody to sit in the comfort of his home and send out messages capable of damaging the lives of his fellow human being.”
Late Sunday night through Monday, there were Internet and Blackberry broadcast messages flying around which said the duo of United Nations Peace Ambassador/BET Award Winning Music Maestro Mr Endowed Koko Master D'Banj and Producer with Extraordinary Midas Touch/C.E.O of Africa's number one record label Mo'Hits Records Don Jazzy were ‘arrested’ in the US with 1,000 kilograms of substance suspected to be hard drugs and they have been detained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
Such mundane rumour is the handiwork of people who want to bring down any successful person. It is this Shoot Him Down Syndrome (SHDS) that has pervaded the country for years now, and artistes as well as celebrities bear the brunt more.
Let it be categorically known that Dbanj and Don Jazzy are in Lagos. They are nowhere near New York or even Ghana.
The two respected artistes are proud Nigerians doing the country proud worldwide. They do not need to peddle drugs as they are successful young men who worked hard to get to where they are today. The report making the rounds that they were arrested in America on Sunday is false and an attempt to tarnish the image of these proudly Nigerian artistes. It’s a figment of someone's evil imagination.
Even though no sleep is lost about this malicious campaign, records must/need to be set straight.
D'banj and Don Jazzy are at their Lekki home in Lagos, Nigeria, they are well and okay. They have had no brush with the law for any reason, not even for a traffic offence. What makes it more funny is the fact that D’banj and Don Jazzy were having a routine meeting with many others including his media company representatives on Monday when obnoxious message dropped in many phones in the living room claiming the duo were in custody in America. Really sad.”
New Age of Fake Online Journalism
Since the popularity of Internet, people have literally gone gaga. Every average Nigerian is now a journalist as they struggle to outdo each other in broadcasting the news of the death of popular people as well as posting on their status on social networking site, Facebook. These news turn to be false most of the time. Nigerians have killed former Biafra war lord Chief Udumegwu Ojukwu and Freedom fighter, former South African President, Nelson Mandela several times before they will eventually die.
It was a broadcast message that sparked off a widespread panic early this year. Some mischievous people started spreading the news that the Third Mainland Bridge was falling apart and people should avoid that route. Government of Lagos had to debunk that claim. So many incidents that have led to panic had been caused by this new generation Blackberry and Facebook ‘journalists’. Rumour peddlers have told the world that Charly Boy was ‘dead’ some couple of years ago. They ‘killed’ gospel musician and Evangelist Sonny Okosuns once before he eventually died. The most guilty of this crime are faceless individuals who run web sites. They have turned the Internet to blackmail tool used in running anybody who tries to stand up to them down.
This is why it is a big responsibility on concerned quarters to call the citizenry to order by way of enlightenment on the need to verify information before they spread it further. D’banj and Don Jazzy, two successful artistes are target today (so many people had been targets in the past), who knows the next target? These young men even when they were yet to break into limelight did not do any illegal thing, so it would be most sad now that almost a decade of hard work that has paid off would be rubbished by engaging in anything illegal.

MC LOPH BIDS US FINAL FAREWELL...BURIAL DETAILS
Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa Timaya and Oringo Master Flavour N'Abania pay last tribute http://www.360nobs.com/2011/10/360recommends-flavour-nabania-iwe-mc-loph-tribute-song/ and http://www.360nobs.com/2011/10/360recommends-timaya-bury-my-mama/ as MC LOPH (Obiajulu Kenneth Nwaozor) is committed to mother earth today in his home town Umunze, Anambra State. Go Well Lord Of Pure Hip-Hop... Farewell
When the Pennsylvania, USA based Morgan Entertainment Company decided to enter the Nigerian scene in grand style with the signing of indigenous music legends like Prince Morocco Maduka, Chief Dr. Ozoemena Nwansugbe and a host of other promising talents like MC Loph, NED, the intention was to take the scene to another level.
But on Wednesday 14th September 2011, the Nigerian Music Industry lost a treasured talent and one of the finest indigenous rappers making waving, Morgan Entertainment Company latest signee MC Loph in a ghastly motor accident on his way to his home town in Anambra State for his own traditional marriage ceremony built for 17th September 2011.
Born Obiajulu Kenneth Nwaozor on February 22nd 1974 to a family of two by Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Nwaozor from Ugwuaro, Umunze in Orumba South L.G.A of Anambra State, MC Loph was a graduate of Sociology from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State.
The very amiable young rapper who was bubbling with life and dreams of going places in life was engaged in an auto crash along Benin-Ore expressway on Wednesday 14th September 2011 with four other occupants of his newly acquired Durango SUV. The other occupants were:
Nkiru (his Fiance)
Chinwe (his only sister) with her son
Violet (his aunt)
Amara (his nephew)
MC Loph and his only sister Chinwe died on the spot while the others were rushed to a nearby hospital by men of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC); unfortunately Amara (his nephew) died the next day.
He is survived by his aged mother as he had early lost his father to the cold hands of death.
Burial arrangements had been announced by his cousin Pastor Emmanuel Okafor courtesy Morgan Entertainment Company as follows:
Saturday 23rd October 2011 Peaceful walk from Ojuelegba Bus Stop to O'jez Ground, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos by 4:00pm. Candle light night starts immediatley at O'jez Ground
Wednesday 26th October Tribute Concert at Emmus House ground by Arthur Eze Avenue off Choice Hotel Awka, Anambra State from 4:00pm
Thursday 27th October Wake keeping at Late Mr. Kenneth Nwaozor's compound Ugwuaro, Umunze, Anambra State
Friday 28th October Burial at Late Mr. Kenneth Nwaozor's compound Ugwuaro, Umunze, Anambra State
Ever since he had been winning musical fans and lovers alike while touring round the world spreading his gospel of Ibo-rap. One of such sojourns caught the eyes and admiraton of Mr. Emeka Oguejiofor C.E.O of US based Morgan Entertainment USA (after his contract with East Side Records had expired) who instantly feel in love with the humility and determination of MC Loph and he swore to make him go places. Pen was put to paper and Morgan Entertrainment officially made MC Loph their artiste and immediately set out to produce an album which was still in the works when the inevitable occured.
From the forth-coming album were such songs like "One Chance", "Ifensoli" and "What The Girls Want" featuring Faze (of defunct Plantashun Boiz) which had become popular among his fans and music lovers.
Plans were already in gear for the strategic launch of activities into Nigeria music scene for Morgan Entertainment which was meant to start with an elaborate ceremony of MC Loph's traditional marriage to the release of his new videos for airplay.
Your alias which was culled from your love for loaf of bread back in the days brings bitter smiles to my face. Many do not know but you were the first to come up with Ibo rap thus inspiring a musical genre revolution that has come of prominence today.
For you it was yardstick to yardstick. A pity you demised at the turn of events for your career. Your legacy and words still remain ever-green in hearts of your friends and colleagues with the hope of meeting again.
Adieu my friend, client, colleague and brother......say me Hi to Ricky.

MORGAN ENTERTAINMENT
Prior to this terrible disaster, MC Loph who was first signed to East Side Records alongside Mr Raw Nwanne (formerly Dat Nigga Raw), Sho Boi and Sino came into limelight with a superb remix of Highlife Icon Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe's "Osondi Onwendi" in which he featured Oringo Master Flavour N'Abania. The award-winning rendition was a monster hit instantly setting the lovable Ibo Rapper on a pedestal of admiration. Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial Ready on the Roll
Dr. Conrad Murray has met his makers. After a nearly two-week selection process, a seven-man, five-woman jury was sworn in today, marking the official start of Murray's trial for involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of Michael Jackson. Opening statements are scheduled to begin Tuesday. And what is being decided here again?
Murray, a cardiologist by trade who had been employed as Jackson's personal physician for a short time when he died, has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter. He is accused of administering a lethal dose of the potent anesthetic propofol to Michael Jackson, who regularly used a variety of sedatives, including propofol, to help him sleep.
The doctor has been free on $75,000 bail since being charged in February 2010.
A wide range of medical experts and colleagues of Jackson are expected to testify over the next month. It's possible that one or more of Jackson's children may take the stand as well, as they witnessed the craziness at the scene as paramedics trying to resuscitate their father in his bedroom at the Holmby Hills mansion where they were living while he rehearsed for his 50-date concert series in London.
Having already filled out a copious questionnaire, 84 people arrived at the courthouse this morning for further questioning. Ten people were dropped immediately for hardship reasons because they could no longer spare five whole weeks, which is the expected duration of the trial.
When jury selection first began on Sept. 8, not one prospective juror raised his or her hand when asked if anyone was unfamiliar with the Michael Jackson case or the man himself.
Deputy District Attorney David Walgren asked one of the potential jurors why she had put an exclamation mark on her jury questionnaire.
She had responded: 'No!' to a question about whether she had seen This Is It, the documentary made from rehearsal footage of the singer in the days before his death from propofol intoxication on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50.'That was an emphatic no,' she responded. 'I wasn't interested.'
Sixteen of the first batch of potential jurors were dismissed in rapid fashion after attorneys from both sides used eight peremptory challenges each to excuse those they did not want on the trial.
Attorneys on each side are given 10 peremptory challenges, meaning each side had two left heading into the afternoon court session.
The process of picking a jury should be completed by the end of the day Friday, with opening statements in the trial set to begin Tuesday.
Murray, 58, is accused of administering propofol, a powerful anesthetic, to Jackson to help him sleep, then failing to properly monitor him.

Sean Kingston Fined for Jet Ski Accident in Miami
After suffering serious injuries (which later resulted in two open-heart surgeries) from a jet ski accident in Miami back in May, Sean Kingston is being fined for the crash that apparently could have been prevented had the singer taken precautions.
Officer Jorge Pino, a spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, says that the singer was cited by the commission for careless operation and not having a boater safety ID card after his Jet Ski accident in Miami Beach.
Following a three-month police investigation, Pino said investigators determined Kingston was inexperienced and inattentive, and had he taken a boat safety class or read the manual the accident could have been prevented.
Peno also confirmed that the police report for the investigation found Kingston did not understand basic boating safety procedures and notes that the report says Kingston released the throttle while turning the steering wheel at the same time, which caused him to lose control of the watercraft.
The "Beautiful Girls" singer was fined $180 for the accident.

TRIGGAR MAN STORMS THE SCENE
Dredlocks, good looks and smooth talking is all that is best suited to describe the contemporary dancehall/reggae artiste that goes by the name TRIGGAR MAN.
Born Bob-Dave Omoaghe to a family of ten children, Triggar Man needed no extra-curricular guidance to nudge him ahead in his musical career than the one provided by his family. With every single member of his family blessed with the talent of music, Triggar Man found his footing firm in the musical world upon deciding to go professional in 2001 after his secondary education.
With a work-in-progress debut album, he has such sensational dancehall/raggae singles like "Rock Fi LIfe", "Follow Me" and "System" which though yet to hit the airwaves are sure reggaedon flavours that would make all reggae pundits marvel with the smoothness of his patua lingo.
The Edo State raggae star has had the priveledge of working with A-List producers in the industry (I.D Cabasa, J Sleek, UC Prof, Kris a.k.a Daddy X, Mo-Kris and Joe-Pee) and also done features with artistes that even if they are not hot now, they likely would be afterward (Oge, I'll Gynx and Guru). He hopes to spar withh such big names like 2face, M.I and Terry G in his forthcoming ten tracker album titled "Real Bad Man".
His smooth flowing dancehall/reggae single Rock Fi Life has a sparkling shot cameo/video expression which was directed by none other than Mannequin Productions in South Africa.
Inspired by reggae icons like Beenie Man, Movado, Sizzla, 2face Idibia and Rhymzo, this dancehall/reggae wonder has had the honour of thrilling such mighty audiences as the ones present at MTN 2face & Friends Concert at the Millenium Park in Abuja and the 1 year in office anniversary of his state governor Adams Oshiomhole.
In the years to come he aspires to be among the great dancehall/reggae legends like Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Bennie Man, Movado, Sizzla, 2face Idibia to mention a few. And hopes to be in the front line of bringing a change to the Nigerian Music Industry in areas such as credible and worthy record deals/labels for artistes and the stiff fight against piracy.
Triggar Man likes to hang out with friends, clubbing and also unwinds playing lawn tennis and swimming. His driving force/philosphy in life is "Do your Best and have patience as a virtue".
His war cry/magna is "No Be Small Fight but the Rebellion shall be Crushed".
Word to his fans, "just keep focus in whatever you do; one day things will fall in place and err tin gon be aiit".

Obaro and Oboden Ibru quit Oceanic Bank positions
Months after the nation’s most decorated bank Chief, Cecilia Ibru was disgraced out of office as Managing Director of financial institution, Oceanic Bank- findings by www.societynowng.com revealed that her sons Obaro and Oboden have quitted their employments at the corporate entity.
But unlike their mother, the sons resigned their appointment.
Cecelia Ibru was booted out of office- along with four other bank chiefs- for charges bothering on mismanagement of funds to the point of mind boggling criminality.
She was arrested, prosecuted for financial crimes by anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (E.F.C.C). The court found her guilty and sentenced her.
She got a reprieve for a reduced jail term via plea bargaining that resulted in the forfeiture of billions of Naira assets.
All the while their mother was going through this trying time- the sons retained their employment at the financial institution.
They however maintained a very low profile-especially party animal, Obaro.
Investigations revealed that the off the public radar move and quiet disengagement months after their mother was booted out of office was strategic.
‘the idea was not to draw attention to themselves and avoid linking the move to their mother’s predicament’ a source explained.
Informants divulged that though with their exit, no member of the Ibru family is now actively engaged in running the business- the clan still retains twenty percent shares in the financial institution.
It is not clear what step Obaro and Oboden intend to take next, as regards employment.
However as regards former bank chief, Cecilia Ibru the word on the street is that she is presently holed up in Abuja- after reportedly returning from a medical trip from the United States at America.
She was said to have wrangled her way out of prison and travelled abroad on health grounds.
The bank she mismanaged is on the verge of being acquired by another financial institution, Ecobank.

Interpol issues Red Notice warrants for Gadhafi
Interpol issued Red Notice arrest warrants Friday for fallen Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, who is wanted for alleged crimes against humanity.
Warrants also were issued for one of his sons, Saif al-Islam Gadhafi, and a brother-in-law, Abdullah Al-Senussi, who served as the regime's intelligence chief. They are also wanted for alleged killings and persecution in the Libyan uprising that erupted in February.
A Red Notice allows Interpol, the international police agency, to widely circulate arrest warrants with an intention to extradite suspects to the International Criminal Court.
The notices were issued after Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the prosecutor of the criminal court, asked Interpol to take the step.
"Moammar Gadhafi is a fugitive whose country of nationality and the International Criminal Court want arrested and held accountable for the serious criminal charges that have been brought against him," said Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble.
The request "will significantly restrict the ability of all three men to cross international borders and is a powerful tool to help in their location and arrest," he said.
French Defense Minister Gerard Longuet told journalists Friday that France believes Gadhafi is still in Libyan territory. But he said that if Gadhafi were to go to neighboring Niger, he would find a sanctuary there.
A senior U.S. official told CNN on Thursday that the United States does not know where Gadhafi is and does not believe the National Transitional Council has a lock on his whereabouts either.
That information came after Anees al-Sharif, a spokesman for the new Tripoli Military Council, said anti-Gadhafi fighters had cornered the fallen Libyan leader and that he had no means of escape. Al-Sharif did not divulge a location.
U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said earlier this week that officials believe Gadhafi is on the run. "I don't have any information as to exactly where he's located," he said.
Two Libyan convoys passed through Niger earlier this week, officials in that country said.
Initial speculation was that Gadhafi was in one of those groups, but on Thursday a second senior U.S. official said the United States now has a list of officials from Libya who were in both convoys.
There were "no marquee names," or anyone who was named in U.N. Security Council resolutions, the second source said. The official would not say who was in the convoys, only that Gadhafi's security chief was not among them, refuting reports that said he left in the convoy.
The Nigerien government is talking to the NTC about what the new Libyan leadership wants to do with those in the convoy but the NTC hasn't decided whether it's worth it to bring them back, the source said.
A third convoy carrying "high-ranking Libyan refugees" entered the Nigerien city of Agadez on Thursday night, according to Mohamed Anako, head of the city's regional council.
Fourteen people arrived in three vehicles. Three Libyan generals, family members and low-ranking Gadhafi regime military and security personnel arrived as "civilians," Anako said.
Among them is Ali Kana, a Libyan Tuareg. The nomadic Tuaregs are spread across several countries, and Gadhafi often turned to them to bolster his forces.
The group is now resting in a hotel and they plan to head to Niamey, the capital, where they are expected to formally request refugee status.
Libyans are leading the search for Gadhafi. The Central Intelligence Agency has agents in the area, and the United Kingdom, France, Jordan and Qater have special forces in the country as well, NATO and U.S. defense officials tell CNN. However, the mission of those agents is not necessarily focused on hunting for Gadhafi.
In Washington, Capt. John Kirby, spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, insisted Thursday that the U.S. mission in Libya is to protect citizens and "is not about capturing or finding Col. Gadhafi."
Questions about Gadhafi's whereabouts intensified after the fall of Tripoli and reports that his wife, daughter, two sons and other family members fled to neighboring Algeria, which described its acceptance of the family as a humanitarian gesture.

Drunken Moose ends up stuck in Swedish Apple Tree...
It was a dark, windy and rainy night when Per Johansson returned from work to his home in Saro just south of Gothenburg, Sweden.
"It was raining really bad. In the wind I heard something screaming with a very dark voice," Johansson told CNN. "At first I wondered if it was the crazy neighbors, but then I heard it again and went and checked. I saw something really big up in a tree in my neighbors' yard and it was a moose. It must have been drunk after eating fermented apples and as it was reaching out for more fruit it must have slipped and fallen into the tree."
Johansson called the local fire and rescue department, which responded with a fire engine and a jeep with a winch.
"We got the alarm at 9.59 p.m. on September 6 that a moose was stuck in a tree," said Anders Gardhagen, spokesman at the Gothenburg Fire and Rescue Services.
"When we arrived we used the winch to bend down the apple tree so the moose could get himself out of the tree. Once free, the moose collapsed on the ground and fell asleep. So we let him sleep it off and went back home" Gardhagen told CNN.
"Moose are attracted by the apple trees, and in the autumn when the apples have fallen off the trees we normally have at least one of these cases of intoxication. These apples, which ferment in their bellies, aren't part of their natural food, so they can get quite angry from this drunkenness," Gardhagen said.
Johansson's son, Gustav, who is about to turn 11, made sure to take lots of pictures of the ordeal.
"He is saving up to buy a PlayStation so he thought he would take pictures that he could sell," Johansson said.
CNN purchased three of Gustav's pictures.
When dawn came the day after it was freed from the tree, the moose had not yet left.
"When I went out for the newspaper it was still laying there on the ground, sleeping. By the time I left for work it was walking around the neighbor's yard on very shaky legs." Johansson said.
