CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY OFFERS AN MBA COURSE ON THE LATE POP STAR: MICHAEL JACKSON

In honor of Michael Jackson's birthday four days ago, Clark Atlanta University has added a new MBA course that looks into the late King of Pop's legacy. Clark Atlanta University is the first university to offer a course on the late Pop Star Michael Jackson. The course will be covering the life of the mega star as a successful businessman and pop icon.

Micheal Jackson: The Business of Music’ will be taught by popular entertainment attorney, James Walker, who will talk about ‘Jackson’s approach to business, his work with record companies, tours, and legally marketing himself in terms of copyrights and trademarks’. The course will examine how the eccentric late pop star built a billion dollar empire.

‘The goal is to help students who have an interest or future desire to work in the entertainment industry whether as an artist, attorney, business manager, accountant or other to really provide my students with a comprehensive understanding of the music industry and the business mechanics involved’, Walker says. "I've taught classes at Yukon University, Boston College and other places covering a lot of topics related to entertainment and the legal profession, but this course allows me to really provide my students with a comprehensive understanding of the music industry and the business mechanics involved."
Walker has a long list of high-profile clients that have included Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx, BET star Dr. Bobby Jones, Gospel legend Dr. Shirley Caesar, DMX, and Freddie Jackson.

Jackson, who passed away three years ago, would've been 54 years on 29th August. To this day, Jackson’s multimedia empire is virtually unrivaled.

Clark Atlanta University is a private, historically black university in Atlanta, Georgia. It was formed in 1988 with the consolidation of Clark College and Atlanta University.
