Altims Beat, born Aluku Timothy, started out as a rapper in his days as a Computer Engineering student in University of Benin. He decided to move behind the microphone after testing himself to improve the contemporary sounds he was hearing on the radio. The CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, has welcomed both of the young producers to the Mavin family by hailing them as the “leaders of the next generation.”

“We older ones are not getting younger,” the Mavin boss joked. “It is a relief to have some young legs and minds to help our project. BabyFresh and Altims are fully activated and I promise there will be many new names for activation soon.”
