Northern Nigeria biggest star and pioneering Hausa
pop proponent, Sani Danja is here with double delight. The typical Nigerian
sound has seen changes and break out stars who has gone against the very grind
of what was believed to be a 'typical' sound - from Burna Boy to BOJ (DRB
Lasgidi). Sani Danja is making another of such bold move as he puts forward
what we describe as a 'hybrid' song and tag 'Hausa Pop.'
'Atica Mai Nono,' released earlier and 'Busi Iyawa'
featuring Terry G are impressive pop effort delivered on pop instrumentation
and his native Hausa language. While 'Atica mai Nono' is a slower number, 'Basu
Iyawa' sees Terry G infect Sani with his high energy. Basu Iyawa which literally
translates as 'Them No Fit' features and it is produced by Terry G.
Do think you are a fan of Hausa Pop?
