Project Fame 2016 2nd runner-up Anderson debuts with Dance Is A Duty (D.I.A.D).
Anderson Emmanuel Amos, born Oct 17th, 1993 is a
proud Nigerian from Ohafia LGA, Abia state. Born and raised in Nigeria,
Anderson grew up learning to appreciate his roots and to identify with his
culture. In 2005 he moved to the Republic of Benin to continue his secondary
school education and has since then remained resident in the country.
Anderson's musical journey began as a little boy,
four years old singing around the house. At six years he joined the choir and
in no time became the music director at the age of thirteen. Anderson began
recording and performing while in secondary school. Opening for the likes of
Diamant Noir the foremost rap crew in Benin Republic and recording for 3eme
Monarchie in their hit song I Love Cotonou. He since then remained underground
working in Ghana as a record label intern with Chicago based indie labels L.A
Records and FYI productions. After his work in Ghana he moved back to Cotonou
and began to work on his career as an independent artist. His first single
Holiday became an instant hit in schools in Cotonou, showcasing his versatility.
He followed up with an RnB song Picture Man which was intended for the
international market as well as his Rap cover of the song Conscient by the
French jazz hip hop band, Hocus Pocus.
He has performed with live bands and live shows in
Benin and Nigeria including Espace Tchif, Blackstage, Industry Nite Lagos,
Felabration etc.
Anderson recently emerged second runner up Project
Fame West Africa season 8. D.I.A.D (Dance Is A Duty) influenced by dancehall
and Afrobeat classics shows a fun and playful side of Anderson most of his fans
did not see during the Project Fame shows.
