Sony Music UK rapper, Chip formerly known as Chipmunk arrived Lagos for the first time this morning ahead of Ice Prince’s Fire Of Zamani concert. 

The hit maker who featured on the track Mercy will be performing for at least 15 minutes at the concert which will take place at Eko Hotel & Suites by 7pm tomorrow. Other artistes expected to perform at the concert include MMG Rapper Wale, Modenine, Olamide, Phyno, Ice Prince and many more.

SPECIAL FEATURE: How Much Do Nigerians Know About VTEK (P Square's Official Producer)?

Born Victor Tareware Kpoudosu and popularly known as VTEK.  VTEK first launched his musical career professionally few years back as a producer/artiste. He started with a three male hip hop group made up of his senior brother “The Myth” who is a Video Director and Special Effects Supervisor, childhood friend Emmanuel known as Nuel. Together, they were called M.V.E.

Their first single “SEARCH” was spotlighted on billboard charts that year with massive airplay on over 400 web radio stations. VTEK’s solo effort “Swagger & Doe” recorded a major success in the US and across Europe again with spotlight feature on World Top 40 Charts and top 20 new hip hop singles on Power 105.1 fm, New York Radio with reviewed on notjustok.com and couple of other Nigerian websites. The Nigerian music industry then was flooded with a major style called “Tile tile” which make it difficult to get much buzz in Nigeria like it does outside Nigeria.

VTEK drop a 14-track free mix tape titled VTEK 1st Impression with over a 100,000 downloads within weeks which brought the name VTEK back into the limelight.

He also has been linked with American Rapper Rick Ross’s record label Maybach Music Group and P-Square’s Square Ville.

Working as the new official P-Square’s producer/engineer with credits on all their recent releases from “Magical Healing”, “Unlimited” & co-production on the hit song “Personally”, earning him major following.

He showed many what he can on the “Bad Guy Baller” collaboration with DJ Vinnie, Mode 9 and Eedris Abdulkareem before his recent feature on Eedris Abdulkareem’s new controversial single “I Go Whooz U”, which placed him on worldwide spotlight as the video trended for two days on twitter and many blogs thus pushing the person of VTEK farther into the limelight.

Nothing short of expectation form Modo, a bit controversial though as the tune features a blend of R'n'B and Hip Hop leaving us to questions whether the hardcore king is actually going commercial?

With a passion to continually make music with meaning and stir up a revolution in the Nigerian music industry. After pursuing a degree in computer science, Ayreh moved to re-engineer his music career with various performances at clubs, shows and parties. In 2008, Ayreh also featured in various NGO campaigns for the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Africa such as (NigeriaHivinfo.com) with a theme song titled 'Learn to live right'.

With a deep foresight to develop and promote his genre of music (Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B), Ayreh has a goal to establish his brand name in the regional and international market.

In 2009, Ayreh featured in a song by May7ven (a U.K based female artiste) titled 'Bo Aso Lara mi' which made waves across the nation. Shortly after the collaboration, Ayreh had the opportunity to perform alongside May7ven, Basketmouth, DJ Jimmy Jatt, P-Square, 9ice, Mode 9 and a whole lot more at the Glo Rock n Rule Tour in 2009, this gave Ayreh a wide exposure on stage and concert performances.

Ayreh kept his passion alive and recently towards the last quarter of 2012,a 4 track debut promo CD was released as a promotional effort to strengthen his music career with smashing hits like 'Omidan by Ayreh feat D-Gates' and 'Tara Tara by Ayreh'. It’s seems to be a rough time for Vector who’s been battling label issues but how much will the lanky rapper take before that wide grin on his face wipes off.

Hours ago, a track leaked on the internet, an alleged diss from Vector to Nigerian rap legend Modenine. The song which is titled ‘The truth‘ and was sent to NET via E-mail is apparently an altered version of an earlier recording also titled ‘The truth‘, the intro off his 2010 debut ‘State of Surprise‘.

‘See you talk about the nine but he’s mode’s not right/he’s alright but he is not real‘, Vector raps on the altered version track. The recording was done way back in 2009.

Conversations have sparked off on social networks and the blogs but calmly quenched by Modenine himself. ‘I’m good with @VectorThaViper !!!   #let it go‘, @modenine tweeted a few hours after the song leaked. Vector responded ‘the REASON why you’re the man‘.

Modenine, a nine time winner at The Headies passed the ‘Lyricist on the Roll‘ torch to Vector in 2012 after winning it for six years consecutively. Modey and VEC also recorded two songs together ‘Zoning out‘ and ‘V9 Cypher‘ which were released on their respective albums ‘Alphabetical Order‘ and ‘The Second Coming‘

No beef here…but who’s responsible for mashing up the track and leaking it? Vector does have a bunch of people not happy with him. ‘And that’s starting from his record label‘, one of the rapper’s friends told NET last night.

YSG Entertainment however claims to have nothing to do with Vector’s recent arrests and Twitter handle hack.
