Akinsola Niyi aka CATCH-22 is a talented rapper/singer
who sprung out of AKOKA, a sub-urban area of Lagos state, Nigeria. From a
family of strong musical influence, he learnt the intricacies of music at an early
age, also learning how to play musical instruments, such as piano, drums e.t.c.
Getting into the mainstream he got influenced/ inspired by the crafts of hip-hop
heads such as Tupac, Eminem, Dr Dre, 50cent. He graduated from that with high
proficiency defining his own craft. Catch-22 has a style peculiar to him alone
and he is setting a new trend in Nigerian music.
