Donna Diva real name Donna Adja is Nigeria’s first female artiste and producer.
She started off her professional career as the leader of an in- house band
at the Sheraton Hotel Ikeja, Lagos in
2006. But in 2011 she left the job to go solo as a recording and performing artiste.
Donna Diva who is an Urhobo protégé from ABRAKA Ethiope East in Delta state is from
a family of 10, six boys and four girls. She started music at the age of 15 in
church like everyone else from where she moved to Warri and later to Lagos.
She
played for a while at the Sheraton hotel Ikeja for 5years which she had to stop
to concentrate on her talent playing in big cities like Australia, UK, Dubai,
Ghana. Years later she returned from the UK where she relocated to for her
first love…music. The multi-talented lady who also models, acts and takes
pleasure in fashion redefines music with own her blend of Reggae, Pop, Soul,
R&B, Rap and Afrobeats.
Donna Diva is back with a different version of her
hit single "GAGA" after the success of her official second single
(GAGA) which was released last year, she decided to give her fans a different
version of the song. Donna Diva announced her presence on the music scene last year
with her first official
hit song “Shut
Up” in which she featured Zee and for which she released a video shot by
Clarence Peters and was also nominated for the NMVA Awards in 2012.This version
of GAGA would make everyone dance.
