Born and raised in Lagos state Nigeria during the
military era into the family of Late M.K.O Abiola , Mikky Thrillz aka Mikhail Abiola the was able
to combine the sounds of frustration which was reflected through musicians such
as Fela and the inevitable American hip hop influence.
Finding a balance between the two very different
styles he was able to create the suitable style to best represent his
personality. Having worked with many different artistes and studio engineers he
has been able to expand his knowledge on sound production, making instrumentals
and also song writing. This gives him his high level of versatility and his
openness to new experiences enables the learning ability which fuels constant
improvement. He is currently rounding up
his degree at the University of Buckingham.
Mikky Thrillz is signed to ClassicMusic Records, a
UK-based record label that is into all genres of music, and builds on the solid
foundation that has been set by Nigerian musicians past and present, and goes
further with the vision to imprint unto the world stage Classic Nigerian music
that will stand the test of time.
Our music goes beyond selling records and having
great deals, it is a visionary stance to place our music solidly on the global
stage, competing in quality and giving a true and good representation of
ourselves and Nigeria.
